IDA STRYDOM - Artistic Director/Artistiese Direkteur
Founder and Musical Director since 1995, obtained her teaching diploma
with Class Music as specialist subject from Goudstad Teacher's Training
College in 1971. She also ontained Final Grades in singing at Trinity
College and UNISA, as well as Associate Trinity College Licentiate
(ACTL) in singing.
A teacher since 1972, she was honoured by the Director of Transvaal
Education in 1994 when awarded with a medal for outstanding achievements
and contribution in choral conducting. In 1995 she founded the Cantare
Children's Choir, and after ending her teaching career in 1997, she
founded a singing studio.
Ida is a member of the National Eisteddfod Adjudicator's Forum, and
adjudicates vocalists and choirs at different music festivals and
eisteddfods. She is the conductor of the Cantare Children's Choir, the
Alberton Ladies Choir and the Choir of Leeuwenhof Akademie. |

Franz Geldenhuys - Begeleier
Matrikuleer aan die Hoërskool Transvalia in Vanderbijlpark. Studeer aan
die Operaskool Technikon Pretoria. Was Begeleier van die Colla Voce
Jeugkoor in Alberton en Dirigent van 4 ander kore. Tree gereeld op as
gaskunstenaar by verskeie funksies landswyd. Gedurende Desember 1998
tree hy op as kunstenaar by die Royal Oasis Hotel in Malaga Spanje.
Hy is betrokke by ‘n hele aantal produksies waar hy as musiekregisseur
optree, Privaat musiekonderwyser in sang, klavier en orrel en hy doen
gereeld begeleidings vir kunstenaars tydens konsertuitvoerings en
Eisteddfods. Hy tree landwyd op as beoordelaar by kunsfeeste en
kunswedstryde. |

Dalene Skinner
Dalene Skinner is an educator in music at General Alberts Primary School
in Alberton. She studied at the Johannesburg School of Arts and music
and Goudstad Teacher’s Training College. Her field of studying was
Piano, Flute and Class Music. She joined the Cantare group in 2004 as
the Conductor of the Cantare Junior Choir. Since the founding of the
Harmonia Girl’s Choir, in August 2006, she has been the accompanist of
the group. |
